Did You Hear?

__________________________

Hey! The military went fishing and caught a red herring.

Color me unimpressed.

Zarqawi has been blamed everytime something went boom in Iraq for so long that I'm sure that the lap dog media will be shocked and stunned when the violence doesn't end.

What they aren't mentioning about Zarqawi is that he, like Osama bin-Laden, earned his street cred in Afghanistan with the mujahideen.

You know the folks the United States funded, trained, and armed against the Soviets.

So Saddam, al-Zarqawi, and eventually bin-Laden.

All constructs of a schizophrenic foreign policy that creates enemies to keep the propaganda going and then celebrates when we "bring them to justice".

Wanna impress me? Get our fucking occupying army out of the Middle East.

Then it will be a day to celebrate.

UPDATE:
See! This is going to fix everything.

UPDATE: Have you seen the trophy pictures of Zarqawi that the media just can't wait to show?

This guy had two 500 pound bombs dropped right on top of him. It seems it caused some bruising and swelling to the face. That's really about it.

Move along! Nothing to see here!

"We had absolutely no doubt whatsoever that Zarqawi was in the house," Caldwell said.

Yea, just as there was no doubt that bin Laden was in the Pak village that was blown sky high a few months ago. The US military apparantly never has any doubts about any of their actions. Actions which in the end always have more negative consequences than anything else. But I do have to compliment the US military - the American military training and weapons are definitely the best in the world - I mean - just look at the uncapturable Taliban leads - got to give credit where its due.

Another Martyr in heaven. Ha ha - in true Nelson style (from the Simpsons)

It's such a perfect distraction from the Haditha massacre, and the timing is so...opportuneocon.

Disclaimer: I haven't followed the mythical Zarqawi day-to-day news briefs. It always felt like an uninspired and cliched comic-book script.

Everything I know of Zarqawi has come from the US-managed corporate media. The same media--ABCNNBCBSfox--NYTWAPO--that lied about no 9-11 foreknowledge, WMDs in Iraq, Bush winning the election in 2000 and 2004, use of white phosphorus in Fallujah, denials of torture and prisoner mistreatment, GMO foods are safe to eat, and the thousands of other BuchCo lies. As far as I'm concerned, all the stories I've read about the evil Zarqawi have zero credibility. I never met the man, he never threatened me, he did not attack the US [unprovoked], and was such a useful idiot he might as well have been on the CIAs payroll managed with a few special handlers*. He might be sipping champagne on a pure white beach in the Caymans with Bush Sr., Clinton, Osama, and Chelsea and Prussian Blue. He may very well have been innocent, and the US cowards are definitely NOT avoiding the killing of innocents when it routinely uses 500 pound bombs in airstrikes to kill one person. cZarkiwi was a Pentagram propaganda wet dream, either they resurrect him in a week or two, or a new slayer-de-jour will take his place (an Iranian, perhaps...)

The only victory here that I see is that of the Pentagon's psyop division.

* Looking into my crystal bong, I make my moonbat prediction of the week: In a week or two they'll cast doubt on initial reports that mighty-cZarcowee was killed, that instead one of his body doubles was killed, and he managed to slip away...yet again...

<griiiiiiiiiiin>

the same thought i...

so,so - they bombed a house - and so, so, there was a bogey man - and so, so the Secret Service did work!

and suddenly, at that moment, there was in my mind - the wedding groups, they killed, all the unknown children, the long search for Bogey #1 (never found until today, btw), the long search for Mini-Bush Saddam...

but it's said, they have paid for him - and thanks to the destruction of Iraq, to the criminalization of innocent people, it really might have "worked" - "free market" at its best <cynical>

What they aren't mentioning

and that's the next thing, i hate about our news - the prostitution to make Bush look good. All the things they say about "the terrorists", about "evil Iran/Iraq/whatever" is also true for New America - even much more true

as they showed the hypocrite Bush talking about "evil men" i thought - at least THEY didn't laugh about their victims when they kill them....

and no one dares to say, that Bush did kill and maim MANY, MANY more children than any other terrorist - and that he probably is the only one, who heartily loves it

sometimes i can't stand that paid liars - without them Bush would be a Nobody, a degenerate rich son, would be known as "mentally ill King George III, the second", but with all those paid "buffer"-whores around him, he can laughingly play God

Those are supposed to be two different links to two different stories several hours apart.

So, just imagine they are.

The sun's coming up. I'm going to bed.

"Color me unimpressed." ==== Likewise! And as Again suggested, every time those "big, bold, macho men" employ air-delivered 500-lb BOMBS in place of the Infantry *squad* needed to do the job, *without* demolishing civilian structures and incurring numerous innocent deaths (including those 7 Zarqawi "associates", who may or may not have been anything more than members of the bombed houdeshold), they irrefutably demonstrate what a craven bunch of astoundingly gutless WEENIES and soullessly "expedient" Nazis this country's military establishment has become. ==== ML: I'll take your "moonbat prediction of the week" over the "conventional wisdom" ANY day! I've thought similarly myself, especially considering how MANY times the US has reportedly killed or captured the mythical "al Qaeda Number 3 Man". Same thing applies to Barnita's quip -- they had "no doubts" about Zawahiri being in that twice cruise-missiled house in Pakistan. But -- SURPRISE! -- he wasn't there. (Assholes!)

makes sense...

soullessly "expedient" Nazis this country's military establishment has become

but Haditha didn't make it into our news very well anyway - some channels (private ones, btw) never really talked about that and the others always softened it with wordings like "assumed", "accused" or "if happened as reported", reducing the crime - because, as you know: What may not be, Cannot be. Reminds me of the TV-reportage, i watched yesterday, about the historian writing about the "silent, but existent knowledge" of the Germans of the KZs (the book's title is as far as i remember "we didn't know anything"). He said, that yes, the newspaper didn't mention the name of the KZs, that would be true, but all the signs given to the people showed the existence of the cruelty - the government openly and overtly talked about "extinction" and "Final Solution" and the people did listen and obey - they didn't buy from Jews, they willingly discriminated them, they openly treated them with contempt (with pleasure, i guess), they did bid for their stolen assets with passion to get a "hot deal" (something like a "Nazi-Ebay") and even allowed it that their own (former) jewish friends were deported into a dark future

- the media kept silent and the people knew, but didn't care about...

sounds familiar?

the same kind of people as the ones now, not caring about Haditha (et.al) today, while whining about high prices of Arabian (prv. "jewish") goods - nothing has changed, cheering for your favorite athletes makes just more fun, i guess (Kant and Nietzsche would turn over in their graves, i guess)

btw: Juan Coles "informed comment" about Zarqawi

Iraqi Raises Questions on al-Zarqawi Death

The man, who lived near the scene of the bombing, told AP Television News on Friday that he saw US soldiers beating an injured man resembling al-Zarqawi until blood flowed from the victim's nose.

I wonder if Bush will have Zarqawi's head stuffed and mounted for his ranch in Crawford?
