Theme

____________________________

Today's theme seems to be religion and the stupidity thereof.

I just keep finding this stuff today.

I want you to see if you can follow this logic on a site I ran across:

Colossians 1:16 - All Things Were Created By Him & For Him

For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him (Colossians 1:16)

Nero, Stalin, Hitler, Khan were created by God for God’s purposes? Men of great evil who ravished humanity for the sake of their lusts for power and by their depraved minds unleashed violence and death upon millions and millions did so for the glory of Christ? Yes, and God was pleased to use their evil for his great good. For evil only harms evil and the greatest evil of all, Jesus Christ put upon a cross for the shame of all, lead to its own destruction so that all who embrace Jesus may find everlasting life. And the cross was the destruction of evil and broke the power of sin for the greatest act of glory the world will ever know.

But God did not inject evil into the world, it came by the will of man whom God allowed to exert against his law. But God used and uses evil through his plan and for his plan; the Father in perfect partnership with Christ, had laid the plan of redemption out before the foundation of the world had even been laid (Eph. 1:5) all to magnify his great glory and thereby demonstrate his great love.

Uhhhhhh....

Yes, and God was pleased to use their evil for his great good.

And that's the kind of sterling knowledge and critical thinking that makes everything all right.

don't blame our problem child! The gods were born by mother humankind because of the need to teach - to teach mathematics, knowledge and measurements. Since thousands of years humankind needed to plan and control its factories (btw: humans did serial production since 20,000 BC!!!!, so they need most of the "religious" tools of "unknown intentions" simply to do their PPS needing measurements to plan and control)

then enters agriculture: you need to share the soil, you need to measure the farmland, need to know basic physical knowledge to build houses (instead of just some tents) - looking at history you find, that people always fight for farmland: "that's mine" - "no, that part is mine" - and therefore you simply need to do mathematics. That's the only reason, why Gods of Scripture and Mathematics and Order belongs to the first gods of humankind - because they demonstrate the importance, knowledge and especially the OBJECTIVE methods of mathematics had in the life of the ancient people - Pharao started (as many kings) as "riding judge" as in the Wild, Wild West - a man, educated in mathematics, able to measure farmland without bias and selfish interests, therefore given the power by the people to decide...

but, as you know: power corrupts (did you notice, that kings represent the Supreme Court until now?)...

and the universities, teaching the "new" methods of planning, measuring and controlling projects and assets, soon were hard to understand for Joe Sixpack and Sally Soccermom

and because it is so hard to make people understand - and it is MUCH easier to just make them learn step by step what to do (after someone really clever had developed the algorithm) - rites, copying job steps without understanding, were used to teach them. Works great as you know: in each stable environment, where stupidity works better than cleverness, to teach rites are a simple, fast and working method to make people learn tasks they otherwise never would be able to...

so the people start to learn at the universities and adored their wise teachers and stopped to ask, why they learnt not to eat pork meat in the hot deserts and why they had to clean/wash themselves. They just did it because some parent-like person had told them to do so - and it worked fine (in stable environments)...

but, as you know: power corrupts (did you notice, that churces everywhere control science and education?)...

so don't blame the gods: parents are liable for the kids...

Very wierd. Very.

How do people buy this kind of shit. It's very disturbing that people buy this. That normal people put more faith in a distant, probably non-existant God created centuries ago by someone who didn't know better cos they didn't know better and had no other explanation for natural phenomenons. But now we have explanations for almost everything. Why like this still. How can you defy common sense? For a doctrine whose origins you're not even sure of. How do we know that the Bible wasn't just the world's first best selling fiction?

Speaking of religion, have a laugh on the Autonomist: a poster named "Let's Roll" handed them the rope, and the compassionless conservatives obliged by hanging themselves with their high school debate club analysis. They quickly point out how truly dangerous the world would be if we had more pacifists like Jesus and Berg, and that Jesus actually preached vengeance (snicker).*

Their attack on Michael Berg had all the callousness and viciousness of Coulter's recent comments on 9-11 widows. A peek at Roccco DiPipppo features some tenth grader's class photo, so the ignorance and juvenile content of the Autonomist comes as no surprise. I'm sure the ADL would love their attack on the victims of WWII death camps.

* Warning: do not drink carbonated beverages when you read this thread, unless you enjoy it spurting out your nose.

what do you expect from people like that? Reminds me of Max Cleland, the democratic politician, who lost three limbs in war for America - whom "people like that" (the fastest AWOL-runners) called "unpatriotic"...

Wow ML.

That's why I love The Autonomist.

You just can't buy entertainment like that.

Favorite quote:

The old "dissent is patriotic" ploy doesn't work against adults.

(laughing loudly)

Fun with the Autonomist, Part 2.

This comment by SSN introduces the Autonomist to the Trilateral Commission. "Rightminded" took that bait and immediately proclaimed:

Ah yes, the Trilateral Commission.

Proof positive that Big Bid-ness and Big Government are two peas in the pod.

So in the context of bashing Carter, they jump to bash Big Bid-ness [Halliburton comes to mind] and Bush's Big Government. Since the neocons are almost all Trilateral Commission members, they've implicitly bashed their own neocon heroes as well. Hypocrites confirmed!

Just a concise one or two sentence post will put their panties in such a wad, they'll be ranting incoherently the rest of the day.

I've noticed that, and I'm guilty of tossing a few bombs in the window just to watch the fun.

I don't do it as often as I used to, but it can lift the spirit when I'm down.

I may need professional help....

Let's see if this hidden time bomb goes off unnoticed. It seems acceptable so far.
